Jain Temple
Construction for this magnificent temple started, by businessman legend Dharma Shah, in the 15th century. The Jain Temple is located in a village called Ranakpur which is between Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. There are over 1444 marble pillars, each carved in exquiste detail, that supports the temple. There are no two pillars that are alike. It is believed that is is impossible to count all the pillars. The temple has unique distintive domes, shikhara, turrets and cupolas that rise majestically from the slope of the hill.
